FAQs & Ordering info for Weddings

Weddings – What should I do first?
It is advisable to order a sample first to ensure you are happy with the quality and colours (I am sure you will be!) you can order a sample of any item and I will personalise it for you to give you a feel for how everything would look.

Weddings – How long do samples take?
Personalised samples are dispatched in around 1 week.

Weddings – When should I send my invites?
Save the Date cards are sent anything from 1 year in advance to 6 months before your wedding.

Invites can be sent out as far in advance as you like but the usual time is 12 – 6 weeks before your wedding.

Weddings – When should I order my stationery?
I generally say to get in touch and order about 20 weeks before your wedding day. This allows plenty of time for proofs, making up your order and also allowing you some time to write the invites and get them posted. This should still give 12 weeks notice for your guests. If you are organised and know what you want, (or even if you don't) it is advisable to book your date in the diary with a £50 deposit and I will contact you 20 weeks before to make a start. This ensures your place in the diary and your order being completed. However I am happy to hear from anyone at any time.

Weddings – How do I pay for my stationery?
You can order your Save the Dates online if you like but for full stationery orders I can send a quote for your individual requirements and payment can be made via BACS (email for details) or cheque made payable to 'Lovat Press'. Full payment of the order is required before delivery. You only pay for the items you are going to receive and any deposits to secure future stationery orders.

Weddings – How long does it take to make my stationery?
Save the Date cards are completed in a few days to a week.

Proofs (mocking up your items with your wording) can take about 1 week.

On approval of proofs orders generally take 2 weeks to make up and dispatch.

Weddings – How will I receive my stationery?
Orders are dispatched usually via UPS courier, which can take a couple of days. Delivery cost is £6.

Weddings – Do I have to order all of my stationery at once?
On the day items can be ordered at a later date when you know all of your information, usually about a month prior to your wedding day. You can book in for these items with a £50 deposit to ensure a place in the diary. You can also order more of any item if required at a later date (at the same costs quoted) we will endeavour to get them to you as soon as possible but it may take a few weeks.

Weddings – Approval of proofs
Please note that your order will be printed as per the proofs. Please double check all spelling, names, addresses details etc. Lovat Press is not liable for errors that have been approved. Colours will be printed as shown, although some computer screens do vary and colour may not be exactly the same.

Orders will only be dispatched once full payment has been received.
